Medigap Plan A is one of 10 Medicare Supplemental plans. It is a simple policy, which will close gaps in original Medicare benefits. Plan A is not to be confused with Medicare Part A. Part A is one half of Medicare Parts A & B, which covers inpatient hospital care.
What does Medigap Plan A cover:
Medicare Supplement plans are offered by private insurance providers. In order to sell them, they are required by law to offer Plan A.
If an insurance company wish to sell other plans, they must also offer Plan C or Plan F.
