Medicare will now pay health care providers for care

Medicare will begin to compensate health care providers for the work they do to manage the chronic care of beneficiaries. Face-to-face appointments with patients will no longer have a requirement for payments.

It is an extra $42.60 each month in pay for health care provided to some Medicare enrollees, but for those who are primary care providers its time for a celebration.

Medicare has adopted new codes, which will pay health care providers for the work and their staff provide for sick patients when they are patients that are not sitting in front of them.

This new rule will begin January 1, 2015, but a face-to-face is required before a doctor will be paid.
